PASEMBOR/ROJAK
I was born in Perak but spending most of my life in Penang. When I come to Selangor, I always get confused whenever people mention rojak but referring to something else actually. The Northerners do not call this famous street food as rojak, it is known as Pasembor there. In Penang, you can have pasembor from almost any mamak restaurants or mamak stalls. Basically they are all using the same basic ingredients such as cucur udang, tofu, cucumber, jicama(sengkuang), hard boiled eggs, cuttlefish, etc. I think what makes pasembor special is the sauce used to coat all the ingredients.
By the way, rojak to me is always the fruits rojak and not the pasembor. I bought this pasembor from Ali Rojak in Kelana Jaya, his stall is not far from the pakoras stall. Depending on the ingredients you ask, he is selling his rojak from RM2.50 to RM4.00. His stall was quite busy yesterday, I had to wait almost 15 minutes before I get my order. His pasembor was good and he was very generous with the portion as well.

Have you tried rojak(or pasembor) from Subang Jaya? My brother said there is a pasembor seller in Subang Jaya and he's very famous for his pasembor.
